"When a lot of my artist friends were getting dropped by major labels or being told "you should try to get signed by a latin label" simply because of their first and/or last name (never mind that some had sung entirely in English up to that point) I felt compelled to use my experience in the industry to help my friends in a way that was blind of ethnicity, race, and language and simply work with artists who I felt were not only great but worthy of a place at the table along all the other hipsters who had exclusive membership up to that time. As of this writing it's still a work in progress. I hope in my lifetime some of the "branding" and "marketing" will go back to one thing: MUSIC"
